We were founded by a group of highly accomplished developers in real estate investment, development, project management and marketing with over 200 years' experience, Johnson-Tauch specializes in the development of state-of-the-art multifamily, mixed-use, government, office, retail and light industrial properties. Our principals and Executive Team has over 125 years of combined experience in real estate development, which brings unparalleled industry knowledge to our clients through our experience, connections, and relationships.
OUR FOUNDERS & EXECUTIVE TEAM
​Johnson-Tauch, LLC. was formed by a group of highly accomplished experts in real estate investment, development, project management and marketing. Their experience in residential, multifamily, commercial and light industrial projects extends throughout the Greater Houston Region and other regions throughout Texas, Louisiana, Southeastern United States and abroad. ​
James Johnson - Principal
James Johnson is a co-founder and principal of Johnson-Tauch, LLC. As one of Houston's premier real estate investment and development experts, Mr. Johnson brings extensive experience in land investment to Johnson-Tauch Real Estate Development.
From 1998 to 2003, James was the President and Director of Acquisition & Development of Alliance Commercial Investments, Inc., which syndicated, acquired, and sold $200 million of real property.

James also brings significant experience in residential and commercial real estate development. Through his company JMJ Development, James, together with Lingo Properties and Cervelle Homes, developed Southgate, a 120 acres single-family residential development in Pearland, Texas. ​ James also developed the Southern Trails, a single-family residential development on 525 acres, single-family, which was acquired by Ashton Woods Homes.

In addition, James has a long history of solid partnerships with numerous premier real estate investment and development companies, where they developed several acclaimed projects throughout the region. With LinGo Properties, he developed Southfork, a 300-acre single-family residential development project in Manvel, Texas. ​ In partnership with Kyle David Tauch, the group developed The Town Homes at Lake Park Pearland, which is a luxury 47 acres luxury mixed use retail and multifamily (with 247 rental townhomes in Phase 1) within Pearland, Texas (the Greater Houston area). Under JMJ Development, partnership with Watts-Cheeks, James also developed a Wells Fargo Center in Pearland, Texas, which was a 50,000 sf Multi-tenant retail center with 25,000 square feet of office and warehouse space.

James served in the US Navy from 1986 to 1990 (Honorable Discharge), where he received several Commendations and Citations, including the Meritorious Unit Citation, Expeditionary Medal and two Sea Service Ribbon.
Kyle Tauch- Principal
Kyle David Tauch is a co-founder and principal of Johnson-Tauch, LLC. Kyle is an accomplished real estate and project developer and successful entrepreneur and real estate developer with over $500 Million in completed projects.

Kyle is also a founder of K Realty Development and KT Builders and currently serves as President and Chairman of the Board. Since 1986, he has been a successful real estate developer, initially with Amelang Partners in Houston, Texas, then building the KT Development Group, where he provides direction and oversight of operations for residential, multifamily and retail developments. Throughout his career with the KT Development Group, together with other investments and companies which he has founded, Kyle has successfully completed over $500 Million in real estate and infrastructure developments that span Texas, the southeastern United States, Latin America and other regions of the world.
Today, Kyle continues to expand his real estate and investments portfolio, which now includes numerous national and international projects in investment, real estate development and renewable energy.

Kyle graduated with a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University, receiving both an award for outstanding work and the Athenian Award presented by the President of the university at graduation for academic excellence. He also completed General Electric’s 3-Year intensive Management Training for Engineers Program and an intensive Spanish language program at the Institute of Monterrey, in Monterrey, Mexico. Kyle's volunteer work includes the Muscular Dystrophy Association where he focuses on special projects and fundraising and the Houston Business League where he works to obtain benefits for disadvantaged children.
Allyson Tauch - Vice President
Allyson Tauch is a co-founder and Vice President of Johnson-Tauch, LLC. Allyson Tauch has been actively involved in real estate development, project management, investments, and marketing over the last 25 years. Prior to joining Johnson Tauch LLC, Allyson worked as the National Real Estate Development Coordinator for McDonald’s USA, where she coordinated land development and construction for new restaurants throughout the western US.
Prior to McDonald’s, Allyson served as Project Manager at Lovett Commercial, a major commercial developer specializing in multi-million dollar, grocery-anchored, retail shopping centers, neighborhood retail, and urban redevelopment throughout Texas.
Allyson also served as Director of Marketing at Falcon Group, where she implemented a strategic marketing campaign and coordinated development activities for a $170 million luxury, resort high-rise condominium on Galveston’s East Beach.
In addition, she provided real estate financial advisory services to Fortune 500 companies nationwide, as an Analyst at Ernst & Young. Engagements included acquisitions, strategic planning, investment and market analyses, development, and due diligence for a wide variety of product, including retail, office, industrial, mixed-use, multi-family, and hotels.
Allyson received her Master of Business Administration with a concentration in real estate and finance and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas in Austin.

Allyson also serves on the Cattle Barron’s Ball committee which benefits the American Cancer Society, and she volunteers her time at the Periwinkle Foundation which helps children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
